The Founder
JuWayne has a background in woodworking as a third-generation cabinet maker and furniture builder. While others grew up playing in the sandbox, he was playing in sawdust on his father’s shop floor adding glue to make those sawdust sculptures last. JuWayne has studied under several world class woodworkers and traveled the world working with different wood species native to that region and learning customary techniques.
But that’s only part of the story…. JuWayne is also a 16 year Air Force Veteran where he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer (Industrial Engineer). He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, CO where he earned a Bachelors in General Engineering complemented with a Minor in Fine Art.
With a varied background in engineering, art, and woodworking JuWayne has a unique approach to residential interiors. He brings a meticulous detailed approach with a focus on functional design.

Industry
Creola Design Operates at the intersection of two industries, Residential Remodelers and Home Goods Repair, this puts us in a very niche market, comprised of traditional construction contractors, and Home Goods Manufactures. Although we don’t offer new construction services or mass produce products, we do improve the usability of spaces by transforming furnishings and areas in homes to suit the personal style and needs of our customers. While several ofthe large “Design& Build” firms outthere produce some amazing homes and spaces, many of them are not interested or aren’t profitable taking on smaller niche projects. Even some of the smaller remodeling companies that do take on the small projects are generally more focused on the structure itself and don’t get involved with those final touches and furnishings that really help to personalize a space. It is at that crossroad of industries where Creola Design operates, we can revitalize your existing furnishings, bring those family heirlooms back to the forefront, all while helping you to create a space in your home that works for you.
